THE EXCHANGE CLUB OF SPEEDWAY, Inc. was incorporated in 1985 as a local chapter of the National Exchange Club, which was formed in 1911 (the same year that the first Indianapolis 500 was held). You can contact the National Office at: www.nationalexchangeclub.org
JOIN US DURING OUR WEEKLY MEETING at Grindstone Charley's located at 5822 Crawfordsville Road. We meet every Tuesday at noon for lunch and fellowship and all visitors are welcome. Most Tuesdays we have a guest speaker, on topics ranging from financial planning to political candidates to historians to school teachers.
THE EXCHANGE CLUB OF SPEEDWAY FOUNDATION, INC. is a tax-exempt foundation formed jointly by the 5 Indianapolis area Exchange Club chapters and the Exchange Club of Speedway to serve as a vehicle to fund its child abuse prevention efforts. The primary recipient of our fund raising efforts is the Children's Bureau Inc Family Support Center, the nationally designated Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Center in Indianapolis.
Services provided by the FSC include emergency shelter, supervised family reunification, family counseling, family substance abuse assessments and volunteer parent mentoring. The Foundation has made a commitment to provide funding to the Gene Glick Family Support Center of close to $70,000.00 annually.
Because the Exchange Club of Speedway is a volunteer organization with no paid employees and very little administrative expense, 100% of the net revenue is used for charitable purposes. Our goal: Prevent abuse before it starts or keep it from recurring.
